 Beta Alpha Rho Zeta Chapter

Beta Alpha Rho Zeta Chapter was established on November 18, 2016 in North Plainfield, NJ. The chapter was chartered by ten women to be of service in Somerset County.  "The Talented Ten” also known as the “Workers”and charter members are: Kiana Lawhorn, Lynnelle Skerritt, Adrianne Jackson, Catricia Shaw, Lytanda Zellner, Myra McDonald, Katrina Hampton. Rashida Roach, Jackie Gaskin, and Jacque Battice.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated decided to expand its footprint under the leadership of Past Grand President, Mary Beaux Wright, Atlantic Regional Director, Janet Y. Bivins, State Directors: Gina Merritt-Epps, Esq. (outgoing) and Anjanette Highsmith (incoming), by chartering BAPZ as the 14th Graduate chapter of NJ.  Seven years and twenty members later, Beta Alpha Rho Zeta Chapter continues to make an impact in and on the communities of Somerset County.

To uphold and exhibit the ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, which are Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood through National, Regional and State initiatives as well as community based activities in Somerset County.

Guided by the principles of our illustrious sorority, we envision a chapter that stands as a pillar of support, mentorship, and positive influence for women as they navigate the challenges of life, education, and personal growth. Our commitment is to create a lasting legacy that celebrates diversity, promotes unity, and contributes to the betterment of our local community and beyond. Together, we aspire to  leave a lasting and positive impact on the lives we touch, locally and globally.
